Welcome to Zedon. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information when signing up and are responsible for keeping your password secure. Your account and data are stored locally on your device, so you are responsible for safeguarding that device.

2. Credits & payments

• Zedon runs on credits purchased via M-Pesa. 1 KES = 1 credit; the minimum M-Pesa top-up is KES 100.
• Credits are consumed when you generate lyrics, refine them, or produce songs. Prices are shown before you spend.
• Credits are non-refundable and have no cash value except as required by law. Unused credits remain on your account.

3. Ownership of your music

You own the songs you create with Zedon and may use, perform, distribute and monetise them. You are responsible for ensuring that any lyrics, names or ideas you provide do not infringe the rights of others. See our Copyright page for more.

4. How Zedon may use your music

By creating music on Zedon, you also grant Zedon, Kentuenz and the Zedon community a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the tracks you generate on the platform for the following purposes:

• training, fine-tuning and improving our AI models and related music technology;
• featuring your music in the Zedon community, on our website, in product demos and in marketing materials;
• posting clips, snippets, cover art or promotional posts featuring your tracks on our public social media accounts and other official channels.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your music to us. You keep your rights to release, perform and earn from your tracks elsewhere. We will only use your music for the purposes above and will not sell your masters as standalone products without separate agreement.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Zedon to create or distribute content that:

• is hateful, defamatory, or incites violence;
• infringes another person's copyright or trademark;
• impersonates a real person or artist without permission;
• is illegal under Kenyan or applicable law.

6. Distribution

Distribution is provided through Kentuenz. By submitting a release, you confirm you hold all necessary rights to the track and cover art. Delivery times to stores are estimates and not guaranteed.

7. Payouts

Zedon does not currently offer royalty payouts or revenue collection. This may change in the future, and any such service will have its own terms.

8. Service availability

Some features rely on third-party services (AI generation and payment providers). We may update, suspend or discontinue features at any time, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

9. Limitation of liability

Zedon is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Zedon after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
